I'm really not sure about this long-running love affair the American consumer of comic books and action-adventure movies as with the CIA. Why do I say this? Because the CIA are not the good guys. They are villains, the black hats, the bad guys. The CIA (as well as other American intel groups) regularly committ terrible acts (assassination, torture, subverting democratically elected govermetns, acts of terrorism) not only to undermine foreign governments but to undermine the US governement as well. But here we go again with another "superspy" story turning these villains into objects of worship. - MisterKeitel
