He tries to commit suicide. He fails, and Hulks out instead. The Hulk trashes the glacier, then storms off to South America. But behind, in the ice, we dimly see a man frozen alive. His clothes are red, white and blue... end scene. I think this might be a Red Herring though. There has to be tremendous pressure to cast this role just right. There is a lot at stake with finally getting Cap done right in a major motion picture, in addition to his important role in the Avengers ensemble. So would they really bank this movie on an unknown? Yes Hemsworth is relatively unknown too but look at the Hollywood heavyweights Branaugh is surrounding around him. The comic book/superhero watching world not let director Joe Johnston get away with not using the Red Skull. You can build up to the Joker and Black Mask in a rebooted Batman trilogy. You can build up to Sinestro, Parallax, and Star Sapphire, in a Green Lantern trilogy. You can build up to Solomon Grundy, Doomsday, and Darkseid in a rebooted Superman trilogy. You can build up to Venom in a rebooted Spider-Man trilogy. You can build up to Mandarin in an Iron Man trilogy. But when you talk about doing a Captain America origin movie, you have to do it in WWII era with the Red Skull as the villain. I hope they select Hugo Weaving, Daniel Craig, or Tim Robbins for the Red Skull. I fully expect to see and/or hear some reference of Hitler. The Red Skull is the German war criminal; how can there be no mention or discussion of Hitler in a Cap movie? The one thing that people need to realize and remember about a Captain America movie, is that he is the one known superhero whose origin ties into the past. All other superheroes and heroines can be brought into the 21st century. That also includes Wonder Woman. Yeah, we all know that the Red Skull is the quintessential Cap villain. But think about where they are going to go with it. Baron Zemo will be gone. Bucky, as far as I know, is not supposed to even be making an appearance in the movie. Bucky is supposed to have been believed dead in the mainstream continuity, supposedly killed in an explosion set off by Baron Zemo.
