Frank Castle, as you knew him, is no more. The ninja death cult known as The Hand has successfully recruited The Punisher to become their newest Fist of the Beast. And Castle joined The Hand of his own free will, because they offered him something he couldn’t refuse: The resurrection of his wife, Maria Castle. Naturally, The Hand is using Castle to manifest the Beast on Earth. However, Castle is using The Hand as well. As far as the Punisher is concerned, his mission hasn’t changed. In Superhero Hype’s exclusive preview for Punisher War Journal: Blitz #1, Torunn Gronbekk and artist Lan Medina send Castle and the Hand against the forces of Finn Fratz, a.k.a. the Hate-Monger. Castle has been aiming to take down this guy for years. But unlike many of Castle’s previous enemies, the Hate-Monger has his own private army at his disposal. And he has already laid a trap for the Punisher and his ninja followers.
